Our Services
Three services. Each one designed for a specific purpose.
We keep the scope of our work deliberately narrow. The assessment, the caliber refresh, and the heritage restoration each address a distinct situation. Understanding which applies to your watch is straightforward — and we are glad to discuss it before any appointment is booked.

How we approach the work
Understand the watch first
Before any tool touches the movement, we place the watch on the timing machine and conduct a visual inspection. This establishes a baseline and often reveals whether service is genuinely needed.
Match the technique to the caliber
Service decisions are made with the specific movement in mind — its maker, its era, its design. We do not apply a universal procedure. Lubricant choice, cleaning approach, and regulation method all vary accordingly.
Confirm before returning
After reassembly, the watch is observed on the timing machine across positions to confirm rate stability. Only once that is established is the piece prepared for return to its owner, with a written record of the work.
Service 01
Service Assessment Appointment
A short, considered appointment for owners who would like a knowledgeable opinion before any work is undertaken. The watch is examined at the bench, placed briefly on the timing machine, and inspected for visible condition concerns. A written assessment is provided alongside a quiet conversation about the available options — which may sometimes include the suggestion that no immediate work is needed.
This service is suitable for owners considering a purchase or sale, those who have inherited a piece and wish to understand what they hold, or anyone who simply wants an honest picture of their watch's current mechanical condition.
What is included
- Timing machine evaluation and rate reading
- Visual inspection of case, crystal, crown, and caseback
- Dial and hand condition assessment
- Written summary of findings
- Conversation about options with no obligation to proceed
Process
- 1.Arrange an appointment by telephone or contact form
- 2.Bring the watch to the Thonglor workshop at the agreed time
- 3.Examination conducted at the bench with timing machine
- 4.Written assessment prepared and discussed in the same visit

Service 02
Caliber Refresh Service
A bench service tailored to specific caliber families, with parts and techniques chosen for the maker and era of the movement. The work suits watches that have been running for five years or more without attention — full disassembly, cleaning in the ultrasonic unit, careful lubrication with period-appropriate oils, and reassembly with timing regulation.
Each watch is observed on the timing machine for a sufficient period to confirm rate stability before being returned. Owners who wish to understand each stage of the work are welcome to ask — we are happy to describe what is being done and why, at each point.
What is included
- Full movement disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning
- Caliber-appropriate lubrication of all pivot points
- Reassembly and timing regulation
- Post-service rate stability observation
- Written record of work and final timing results
Typical timeline
Most caliber refresh services are completed within two to three weeks, including the observation period. A more specific estimate is provided after initial inspection of the movement.

Service 03
Heritage Restoration with Source Document Research
A detailed restoration for watches of historical interest, where we undertake research alongside the bench work. We refer to maker archives, period catalogues, and reference texts to confirm the appropriate finish, dial layout, and movement specifications for the era. The findings are shared with the owner in a small folder that travels with the watch.
This service is particularly suited to pre-1970 pieces, watches with unusual provenance, and those passed down through several generations of a single family. It is not a cosmetic restoration — the priority is understanding what the watch should be, and returning it as closely as possible to that standard.
What is included
- Archive and period catalogue research for the specific caliber and year
- Full mechanical restoration with caliber-specific technique
- Period-correct finish decisions based on research findings
- Research folder prepared by hand, covering sources consulted and findings
- Written restoration record and timing results on completion
Typical timeline
Heritage restoration typically requires four to six weeks, depending on the availability of reference material and any complexity in the movement or case. We provide a realistic estimate once the piece has been examined and the research scope is understood.

Shared Standards
Applied across all three services
Secure storage while in our care
Every watch in the workshop is stored in a locked, climate-controlled space. No watch is transported unnecessarily or left unsecured.
Written record with every job
Every service produces a written record — condition at intake, work performed, timing data, and any relevant observations. This document stays with the owner.
Owner contacted before scope changes
If anything unexpected arises during the work, we stop and contact the owner before deciding how to proceed. No additional work is started without discussion.
Timing machine verification at completion
Rate data is taken after reassembly and again after the observation period. The watch is not returned until rate stability has been confirmed across multiple positions.
No unnecessary intervention
Parts and components that are functioning correctly are left as found. The scope of work is defined by what the watch actually requires — not by procedure or convenience.
Fixed and published pricing
All three service prices are stated on this site. They do not change without prior communication. Additional costs are only incurred with the owner's explicit agreement.
